Qualifications
Must haves:
- Successfully completed business architectures in OPS for a complex, and multi-client organizations.
- 10+ years of experience with different Enterprise architecture frameworks, such as Zachman, TOGAF.
- Ability to translate enterprise business strategies and vision into operational models and processes.
Business Architecture Experience:
- 10+ years of experience with different Enterprise architecture frameworks, such as Zachman, TOGAF
- Proven experience in conducting Business architecture assessments.
- Ability to translate enterprise business strategies and vision into operational models and processes.
- Experience in business and information Architecture .
- Experience in implementing multiple large-scale and complex projects, business capabilities mapping to understand the current and future state of the organization, updating business services, business processes.
- Proven Experience in producing strategic Enterprise business blueprints and Enterprise architecture roadmaps.
- Skill in mapping, analyzing, and improving business processes using tools like BPMN or Lean Six Sigma.
- Complex data modelling expertise. Experience producing Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data models using the Power Designer compliant with the Information Modelling Handbook (IMH) and industry standards.
- Ensuring that IT initiatives directly contribute to business value and organizational efficiency.
- Capability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions that drive business transformation.
- Awareness of emerging technologies, trends and directions.
OPS Experience:
- Successfully completed business architectures in OPS for a complex, and multi-client organizations.
- Ensuring full compliance with OPS standards and guidelines.
- Understand OPS enterprise architecture and Target State Architecture.
- Ability to align the ministry objectives and government priorities.
- Experience in integrating policies, programs, and services across different branches or ministries to improve public service delivery.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) within the OPS context and knowledge of government architecture standards.
- Experience in optimizing public service processes to improve citizen-facing services, ensuring cost-effective and equitable access to programs.
- Understanding the Government of Ontario’s Digital Strategy and experience driving digital transformation initiatives that enhance service delivery.
- Deep understanding of Ontario’s legal and regulatory frameworks, such as the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA), and the Archives and Recordkeeping Act.
- Ensuring that all business architecture initiatives comply with government regulations, privacy standards, and records management requirements.
Communication and Stakeholder Management:
- Ability to work across various divisions/units (IT, operations, business) to ensure cohesive business alignment.
- Driving consensus among stakeholders with conflicting priorities or perspectives.
- Demonstrated commitment and proven ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholder.
- Knowledge of project management frameworks such as Agile and how to integrate them into business transformation.
- Driving organizational change through communication, stakeholder engagement, and employee alignment.
- Clearly presenting complex ideas to senior executives and non-technical audiences.
- Evaluating the impact of new initiatives and managing risks associated with business transformation.
