Responsibilities
Solution Design and Implementation
- Design and implement Azure-based solutions leveraging cloud-native services and architectural patterns.
- Integrate Azure services with on-premise systems to support hybrid cloud architectures.
- Lead the design of identity, governance, monitoring, data storage, security, networking, and integration solutions on Azure.
Azure Best Practices and Optimization
- Implement Azure best practices to optimize performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Develop and deploy Azure solutions involving services like Azure VMs, databases, storage accounts, Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Cosmos DB.
- Evaluate and mitigate risks for high-sensitivity data assets using secure cloud-based architectures.
Database Architecture and Integration
- Leverage 15+ years of database expertise, including design, modelling, PL/SQL development, performance tuning, and administration.
- Design and develop interoperability solutions across hybrid cloud environments and various partner systems.
- Implement REST/SOAP API protocols to facilitate seamless integration between Azure and mid-tier/mainframe systems.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Project Execution
- Partner with Corporate Security/Architecture, Privacy Office, CIO Office, Steering Committees, and cross-business directors to align architectural solutions with organizational goals.
- Facilitate agile requirements-gathering sessions and manage collaboration with external vendors and system integrators.
- Execute projects using a hybrid-agile delivery model, ensuring efficient communication and risk management.
Qualifications
Mandatory Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with Microsoft Azure to design and implement solutions using cloud native services and architectural patterns available on the platform;
- Minimum of 7 years of implementation experience with cloud-based service offerings such as SaaS and PaaS, including integration between cloud and on premise systems (hybrid cloud);
- Experience in designing and implementing Azure identity, governance, monitoring, data storage, security, networking, and integration solutions;
- Experience in solution design using Azure services, including (but not limited to): Azure VMs, Azure databases, storage accounts, Network security groups, Azure data lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics;
- Experience in implementing Azure best practices to optimize for performance & cost;
- Experience with research, option analysis and providing recommendations and strategic advice to senior management based on technical considerations and best practices;
- Implementation and design experience with integrating Azure services to different partner systems such as Mid-tier/Mainframe using array of protocols such as REST/SOAP API for Web Services;
- Minimum of 15 years of working experience with industry standard databases that involves database design and modelling, PL/SQL development, system performance tuning, and database administration;
- Minimum of 7 years on evaluating risk mitigation strategies and architecting cloud-based solutions for high-sensitivity data assets;
- Minimum of 7 years of working experience with different cloud-based resources/assets to develop interoperability solutions/integrations within a hybrid cloud environment;
- Stakeholder management experience to concurrently manage relationships with Corporate Security / Architecture, Privacy Office, CIO Office, Program Management Office, Steering Committees and Funding Approval Boards, and directors across multiple lines of business;
- Experience in requirements gathering and documentation including facilitation of agile sessions while managing partnership with external vendors and system integrators;
- Experience with integration to Siebel-based systems; and
- Implementation and project execution experience in a hybrid-agile delivery model.
