Responsibilities
This is for a Procurement Project Manager. The successful candidate will be required to manage several Statements of Work including service and construction. They will need to have strong contract management experience and be able to read contracts and engage with vendors. They will be consulting and advising a number of parties.
• Support the analysis and execution of vendor contract deliverables, including change management (RFCs, Change Orders), including writing content and providing advice.
• Project management

• Manage the administration of existing contracts
• Manage the execution of Service Requests for new services from vendors
• Manage the processing of project & contract change requests
• Manage the overall change process including obtaining vendor quotations and facilitating the required approvals
• Support project managers in the execution of procurements and change orders with vendors
• Look after Ministry’s interests from Legal, privacy and public image perspectives in procurements and contracts
• Prepare briefing notes, conduct vendor meetings and liaison with other procurement and legal departments as per the need
• As needed, independently manage, and execute complete procurements life cycle
Qualifications
• Demonstrated project management experience on complex and technical I&IT projects
• Experience providing oversight on integrated plans to ensure the successful delivery of 3rd party vendor contracts
• Demonstrated experience identifying issues and managing risks for large complex enterprise-wide projects
• Experience managing and coordinating project change management process with 3rd party vendor contracts
• Experience managing vendor commitments to ensure contractual obligations are met
• Experience interfacing directly with vendor leads on coordinating overall activities and contractual commitments
• Experience managing inter dependencies related to key contract deliverables
• Experience supporting the development of procurement and contract documentation, including writing content and coordinating stakeholder input and advice
• Solid experience in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Leadership and team building experience, managing and coordinating multiple stakeholders that have varying needs, requirements and objectives
• Experience managing executive relationships and dealing with senior executives across multiple organizations
• Strong negotiating and influencing skills
• Knowledge and experience both in a strategic and operational public sector governance models, experience managing complex, multi-unit, multi-stakeholder and multiple levels of public sector executive stakeholder project team, experience with public sector processes and policies, ability and demonstrated experience developing mutually beneficial relationships with public sector entities.
• Strong experience of working on Public Safety Radio/telecom domain. Experience of large and complex projects with over $500 Million budget.
• Demonstrated experience of working with multiple stakeholders in a broader public sector (BPS) environment. Experience of projects involving, network design, civil structures, user equipment distribution and operations. Experience with projects involving large number of users (over 30,000), meeting their business requirements, training and communications needs etc.
