Responsibilities
Business Architecture Skills:
•Expert knowledge and advance professional skills in all aspects of business architecture (e.g. Business Architecture artefacts such as Scope/Contextual/Planner and Owner/Conceptual artefacts that occur in Rows 1 and 2 of the Zachman Enterprise Architecture Framework)
• Knowledge of strategic architecture planning and related applications, technology, tools, methodologies, monitoring and trends
• Expertise in defining business requirements and in developing detailed plans for large scale and complex technical architecture projects or components
• Expertise in ensuring integrity of business architecture models to ensure and monitor compliance with policies and standards
• Successfully lead and complete business architectures in complex, multi-project or multi-client organizations
• Knowledge of other architecture domains, architecture management, the software development lifecycle, software integration, management, evaluation, control mechanisms, database concepts and networking (e.g. Zackman Framework, The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) guidelines for enterprise architecture artefacts and processes)
• Knowledge of hardware environments, change management, business analysis, including business design and I&IT business management, capacity planning, quality assurance, risk management, disaster/recovery planning, business process modelling and process re-engineering
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
• Excellent presentation and communication skills to make persuasive presentations, and also to communicate technical information to a non-technical audiences
• Strong relationship management skills to work with I&IT management, clients, business partners, stakeholders, and project staff
• Consult and lead complex reviews to assess causes and recommend solutions for business architecture problems
Research and Analytical Skills:
• Superior research, analytical, evaluation and practical problem-solving skills
• Experience monitoring progress, identifying problems and providing recommendations to I&IT management and clients decision makers
Public Sector Experience:
• Experience with OPS governance and enterprise architectural processes would be an asset.
• Experience with Freedom of Information and Privacy Protection Act and GO–ITS standards would be an asset.
Qualifications
• Expert knowledge and advance professional skills in all aspects of business architecture (e.g. Business Architecture artefacts such as Scope/Contextual/Planner and Owner/Conceptual artefacts that occur in Rows 1 and 2 of the Zachman Enterprise Architecture Framework)
