As a member of this team, you'll play a vital role in constructing new applications and refining current ones. You'll work closely with their in-house software developers and their clients' project development teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
key responsibilities:
... - Analyse user requirements and perform software development.
- Engage in detailed analysis of user needs based on system requirements specifications or discussions with team members and end users.
- Conduct various types of testing, including unit, performance, system integration, and regression testing, to ensure the highest software quality standards.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, such as Technical Manuals, User Manuals, and Installation Guides.
- Take part in technical discussions and brainstorming sessions with the project team and vendors.
- Provide system support both on site and off site, including troubleshooting and technical consultation.
- Handle software packaging, deployment, installation, and configuration.
skills & experience required:
- Expertise in crafting, sustaining, and advancing custom applications for IBM AS400/iSeries, employing AS400 CLP, RPG, and RPGLE.
- Ability to dissect and comprehend existing system/program pathways from source code with minimal direction.
- Prior involvement in an IBM AS400/iSeries atmosphere. At least 3 years of practice with DSPF, PRTF, CLP, RPG, and RPGLE programming languages.
- Proficiency in fundamental AS400 commands and awareness of the AS400 program debugging procedure.
- Foundational grasp of SQL.
- Familiarity with AS400 WebService and web program setup is beneficial.
- Proficient in scrutinising, assessing, and refining programs to enhance efficiency or adapt to new demands, along with proficient documentation preparation.
- Knowledge of hire purchase and term loan systems is a plus.
