As the Roofing Supervisor, you'll be responsible for overseeing roofing projects, ensuring they're completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Your duties will include managing up to 20 roofs a month, handling asbestos validation, calling off roofs, leading roofing gangs, conducting H&S toolbox talks, preparing progress reports, coordinating skip deliveries, and handing back completed projects to managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage up to 20 roofing projects per month, ensuring they're completed on time and to specification.
- Utilise your experience with asbestos to validate compliance with regulations and guidelines.
- Coordinate the calling off of roofs, including resource allocation and subcontractor management.
- Lead roofing gangs, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Conduct regular H&S toolbox talks to reinforce safety protocols and practices.
- Prepare progress reports to document project milestones, issues, and resolutions.
- Coordinate skip deliveries and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Hand back completed projects to managers, ensuring quality standards are met.
Qualifications:
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in roofing construction, with expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with asbestos validation preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively manage roofing gangs and subcontractors.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
