Responsibilities
- Develop, manage and lead Technology Service’s Contract Management framework, including evolving current contract portfolio investment and renewal strategies, divisional portfolio management, and establishing key vertical programs across key areas such as software, infrastructure and professional services.
- Develop an approach to establish governance across the division to drive key objectives around strategic sourcing acquisition, contract lifecycle management and setting goals and objectives to maximize value and efficiency across the portfolio.
- Serve as a key contributor in evolving current practices around contracts with key stakeholders (Procurement, legal, etc) and establishing a robust set of contract
management tools, including centralized reporting and modelling portfolio governance.
- Play a key role in the success of the strategic sourcing management goals of Technology Services and implement action items to ensure that those goals are achieved
- Demonstrate strong IT contract expertise, judgment, integrity, financial acumen and project management skills.
- Have knowledge of souring management practices, experience in negotiating complex contracts/agreements, vendor management skills and demonstrated expertise within key areas, such as IT services (professional services/labor), IT infrastructure, IT and enterprise applications, and/or indirect spend.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
- 6-8 years of experience in procurement and sourcing, including leadership in the successful execution of large technology contracts.
- Strong program management skills with the ability to launch initiatives requiring cross-functional involvement and stakeholder buy-in.
- Knowledge of procurement and contracting principles and practical experience of procurement processes, methods, practices and contract administration in the Canadian government sector and/or private sector.
- Directly related work experience in the procurement and administration of technology goods and services, including Statements of Work.
