Mission: The mission for the Retail Manager in Japan is to ensure the strategic direction and budget adherence, foster retail development across the country, lead and inspire teams, collaborate with all stakeholders, and drive business growth through innovative and effective retail practices.Key Responsibilities:• Strategic Leadership: Implement retail strategies for the Japanese market to achieve sales targets and business objectives. Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for growth andimprovement.• Retail budget: Manage and optimize retail budgets and P&L of the stores.• Buying: Supervise buying and orders for all stores in your market, incollaboration with the Retail Merchandiser.• Operational Excellence & Profitability: Oversee daily retail operations within the market, monitor sales performance and KPI’s, develop strategies to maximize sales opportunities, and oversee all aspects of retail operations to ensure store profitability.• Team Leadership & Development: Build, lead, and develop a high-performing and motivated retail team to deliver exceptional client experiences and exceed sales goals.• Training: Host training sessions for new team members on Retail Operations processes and systems to ensure team have the necessary skills to operate a retail store.• Client Experience: Champion the brand's values and ethos to deliver an exceptional client experience across all retail locations, enhancing engagement, loyalty, and retention. Promote clienteling culture and implement CRM strategy of the group.• Brand representation: Ensure all retail activities and store environments are aligned with the brand character.• Sales & Marketing: Collaborate with Marketing, Client Development, and Digital teams to develop and execute Retail campaigns and promotions. Drive sales through effective merchandising, product presentation, and promotional activities.• Communication and Reporting: Act as the primary communication link between store managers and HQ. Prepare and distribute retail operations reports detailing performance metrics, inventory levels, and other critical operational data.• Compliance and Standards Enforcement: Monitor and enforcecompliance with company policies and standards at the market level.Ensure all stores align with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Experience and competencies:
• Experience in retail management & operations, with a strong focus on
leadership and project management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to think strategically and align retail operations with the overall business strategy.
• Proven track record of implementing operational processes and procedures in a retail environment.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to gather and interpret data to inform decision-making.
• In-depth understanding of the fashion retail landscape, consumer behavior, and market dynamics.
• Strong language knowledge English and Japanese
