ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Preparation of microbial culture media, sterilization of fermenters’ preparation of seed cultures, initiation of fermentation batches in shake flasks and fermenters, monitoring of fermentations, carrying out of DSP operations (filtration, centrifugation, ultrafiltration, concentration etc). Regularly analyzing of various fermentation based products for its purity/impurities by suitable analytical method. Troubleshooting and assisting in new projects, taking of pilot trials at plant scale, compilation of data of various lab experiments, preparation of report etc.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
BSc, MSc, Or B. tech, Or relevant degree in life Sciences. Freshers with project dissertation submitted in above areas can be considered.
Essential Attributes:
1. Understanding of basic Microbiology and fermentation operations.
2. Should have prior experience of handling of microbial cultures, its propagation, and preparation of culture media, sterilization and microbial fermentations.
3. Should be ready to work in shift schedule.
Desired Attributes:
Should have undertaken and submitted project dissertation during his graduation/Post graduation studies in the above mentioned areas. Should have earlier industry/lab work experience in above areas.
