In this position as a Reinsurance Claims Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and processing of both facultative and treaty reinsurance claims. Your role involves ensuring efficient claims handling, adherence to company policies and industry regulations, and fostering strong relationships with clients and reinsurers. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of reinsurance principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage a diverse portfolio of claims.
In order to be successful in this position, you will be expected to manage the end-to-end process of reinsurance claims, including claim intake, investigation, evaluation, and settlement. You will be expected to conduct reviews on reinsurance policies to understand coverage terms, negotiate settlements with claimants, brokers, and reinsurers to achieve fair and timely resolution of claims while minimizing financial impact.
The ideal incumbent will be expected to stay informed about regulatory developments and compliance requirements related to facultative and treaty reinsurance claims. Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

skills & experience required
- 8+ years of experience in reinsurance claims, with at least 3 years of team lead or team management experience
- Strong understanding on reinsurance market - both facultative and treaty
- Proficiency in claim processing systems and software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex claims and make sound decisions
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
