Responsibilities
Verify patient eligibility and benefits for various healthcare programs and services.
Process and submit reimbursement claims to insurance providers and third-party payers.
Research and resolve claim denials, rejections, and payment discrepancies.
Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure proper claim resolution.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of reimbursement activities and patient interactions.
Stay up-to-date on healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and program guidelines.
Collaborate with internal teams, including case managers and patient support specialists, to address patient needs.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, finance, or a related field (preferred).
1-3 years of experience in reimbursement, medical billing, or claims processing (healthcare or pharmaceutical setting preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in medical billing software, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM systems.
Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorization, and claims submission processes.
Certification in medical billing/coding (e.g., CPC, CPB) is a plus.
