Role Overview:
As a Band 5 RMN at Carleton Clinic, you will be an integral part of our clinical team, providing advanced nursing care to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering comprehensive care, working collaboratively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Leadership: Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff, ensuring high standards of care are maintained across all service areas.
- Patient Care: Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement care plans, and monitor progress for individuals with a range of mental health conditions.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.
- Risk Management: Ensure appropriate risk assessments are carried out, implement safe care plans, and contribute to crisis intervention when needed.
- Training and Development: Support and mentor junior nursing staff, assisting in their professional development and ensuring compliance with training requirements.
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in accordance with clinical guidelines and legal requirements.
Key Requirements:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification and current NMC registration.
- Proven experience working as an RMN within a mental health setting, preferably in a senior or Band 5 role.
- Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to assess, plan, and deliver individualized care to patients with mental health issues.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, showing initiative and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to continuing professional development and high standards of patient care.
