About Us: Randstad is a preferred supplier of temporary nursing staff to NHS Trusts and we currently have a number of opportunities working on a part time or full time basis across Pennine NHS Trust. Their Acute Mental Health Wards play a critical role in providing care and support to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. We are seeking a Band 6 RMN to join our dedicated team and contribute to the well-being of their patients.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care and support to individuals with mental health conditions, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health status, develop personalized care plans, and monitor progress over time.
Administer medication and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate care and support holistic treatment approaches.
Foster therapeutic relationships with patients, offering empathy, understanding, and non-judgmental support.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge in mental health nursing.
Requirements:
Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
Minimum of 6 months of post-registration nursing experience in mental health settings.
Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to upholding professional standards and ethical principles in nursing practice.
A genuine passion for mental health nursing and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those experiencing mental health challenges.
