You will play a crucial role in developing and executing the growth strategy for the pharmaceutical and nutritional sectors, in alignment with the global strategy. This involves establishing strong connections with global teams and ensuring that the regional initiatives are in sync with the overarching goals. You will lead efforts to understand the unmet needs in various sub-regions within APAC, driving innovation projects tailored to these specific demands.
A significant aspect of the role includes leading voice of the customer interviews and developing new product blueprints to address key market segments. You will collaborate closely with the global Pharma marketing team to refine and implement the strategic plan for APAC, creating synergies between the other sectors in terms of market development and technology transfer. This cross-functional collaboration aims to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned and that strategies are executed seamlessly.
You will also provide leadership to sales, marketing, and technical teams, guiding the execution of key growth initiatives and projects. By staying updated on market trends, the manager will develop effective product positioning and value propositions to drive profitable business growth. Overall, this role is pivotal in establishing the client as a leading supplier in the Pharma segment by facilitating and leading business initiatives across various functions.
skills and experience required
The ideal candidate for this role should have a bachelor's degree in business, chemistry, or pharmaceuticals and at least 10 years of experience in marketing or business development within the personal care or pharmaceutical industries. They must have a proven ability to work in a matrix, multinational organization.
Essential skills include commercial development acumen, excellent communication, and demonstrated leadership in cross-functional environments. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to drive results. The role requires up to 30% travel.
