- Manage payroll for multiple countries and entities in the APAC region with outsoruced payroll vendors, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local requirements and company policies and procedures
- Perform employee separation calculations for redundancies, resignations, terminations
- Maintain robust internal controls and evaluate current work processes to drive process improvement, enhancing efficiencies, accuracy, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Take ownership of payroll compliance and filings, including responding to ad hoc requests from local statutory authorities and internal/external Audit
- Manage payroll vendors effectively by strictly adhering to the contract and SLAs
- Work with payroll vendor on system enhancement
- Attend to all internal enquiries regarding payroll and benefits in a timely manner
- Process insurance/benefits claims promptly and accurately, ensuring compliance with local policies
- Assist and back up team members as required
skills and experience required
- University degree in HR or a related discipline
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in regional Payroll Operations within the APAC region
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong employee service focus
- Ability to be resilient when handling multiple priorities.
- Ability to handle high level of confidential information with sensitivity.
