priorities of the role
This role is responsible for sourcing either permanent or temporary/contract placements in a specific industry and (sub) sector; covering targeted clients and focusing on mid to senior level positions.
To achieve personal sales targets through:
∙ Developing and managing a defined client and candidate base.
∙ Delivering high quality recruitment consultancy and services to clients.
∙ Compliance with legal & company policies and reporting processes.
main accountabilities
The main accountability areas for this position are:
∙ Acquisition and client management
∙ Recruitment and candidate management

∙ Formulate a client and candidate development plan, together with the manager, to support the achievement of personal sales targets.
∙ Initiate a range of sales and marketing activities, in accordance with the client and candidate development plan, to attract business.
∙ Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure a good understanding of their current and future priorities and to identify new leads within Randstad.
∙ Keep abreast of and analyse market and sector developments to support the provision of high quality advice to clients.
∙ Prior to commencing client assignment, negotiate and agree on terms and conditions with the client, in accordance with company policies, to mitigate commercial issues or complaints.
recruitment and candidate management
∙ Initiate a range of sourcing activities, such as publishing vacancies, networking and conducting referrals, to ensure a regular supply of candidates that meet client’s current and future demands.
∙ Develop and manage the recruitment process for clients through sourcing, screening and qualifying candidates, briefing and preparing candidates, organising interviews and sometimes negotiating remuneration packages to ensure client needs and expectations are met in a timely manner.
∙ Provide advice to clients and candidates on salary levels, training requirements and career progression opportunities to facilitate the recruitment process.
∙ Interpret modern awards, enterprise agreements and all other industrial instruments to determine correct rates of pay and conditions of employment for all employees.
skills and experience
- University degree or higher education discipline
- 1 year of client servicing/customer service work experience is an advantage
- Passion for results
- Must consistently meet both individual and team targets
- Strong communication skills with solid business development acumen is essential
- Must be able to work in a fast pace environment
- Commercial acumen
- Flexible and positive work attitude is a must
