We are seeking a Raw Materials Sample Coordinator for a longer term contract opportunity with a well established apparel client of ours in the Vancouver area. The Raw Materials Development team is tasked with delivering the next ground breaking fabric franchise as well as keeping our clients stores fresh with seasonal drops. The Raw Materials Sample Yardage and Library Team are responsible for managing our clients sample yardage request process and maintaining their Raw Materials Libraries. The Sample Yardage function is responsible for coordinating all sample yardage needs across the business on a seasonal and off-season cadence, to support product development and style adoption.

Responsibilities
•As a driven self-starter, you will support our sample yardage and library functions enhancing our clients sampling processes and sample yardage delivery.
•Consolidate, assess and finalize the raw materials seasonal and off-season sample orders for fabrics and trims through the product lifecycle to support seasonal development, wear testing, product testing etc.
•Work cross functionally with internal and external partners to ensure timely delivery of raw materials for sample development.
•Support cross-functional sampling initiatives.
•Own documenting and updating all relevant Sample Yardage Processes, Standard Operating Procedures, and important team information.
•You maintain sampling training manuals and protocols and enroll internal and external partners in changes to protocols.
•Collaborate with Raw Materials Sample Lead to execute solutions to solve complex issues that affect multiple functions.
•Collaborate with Raw Materials Sample Lead to create and update best practices and streamline processes and information flow across the development cycle.
•Educate cross-functional teams on raw material sample processes and timelines.
•Hold communication and clarity at the core of everything you do.
•Build relationships every day and are a support to all relevant cross-functional partners.
•Work independently and collaboratively within a team to drive solutions.
•Deep dive into seasonal issues to identify trends in process or tool gaps.
•Support the Raw Materials Global Libraries team with relevant sample ordering responsibilities.
•Can manage multiple timelines, deadlines, and projects to achieve timely results yourself and your cross-functional partners.
Qualifications
•Experience or education in product development, textiles, order management, inventory management, or logistics is preferred but not required.
•An organized individual who thrives in understanding logistics, workflows, and how processes are interconnected.
•A clear, concise, and confident communicator
•An ability to think methodically and sequentially when creating or following processes – you may also often see an improved way of doing things.
•Experience in Smartsheet is an asset.
