- Quality Management of CNC Machined Components:
Lead and manage the quality assurance and quality control processes for machined iron and steel castings, ensuring that all components meet the required specifications. Oversee the inspection and testing of machined castings, ensuring that all dimensional, mechanical, and functional parameters are in line with engineering drawings and customer requirements. Ensure that machining processes for castings are optimized for quality and precision, addressing common challenges such as casting defects, warping, and dimensional inconsistencies.
- Inspection and Testing Protocols:
Supervise and direct various non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, including Radiography (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), and Dye Penetrant (DP) testing for castings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications. Ensure that all inspections are carried out as per the required frequencies and protocols, with accurate documentation of results and findings. Interpret NDT results and initiate corrective actions when necessary, collaborating with production teams to resolve quality issues.
- Dimensional Accuracy and Customer Drawings:
Review and interpret customer drawings and specifications to ensure that all dimensions, tolerances, and quality requirements for machined components are clearly understood and met. Implement stringent controls to ensure that all components are dimensionally accurate, meet customer specifications, and comply with quality standards. Oversee the calibration and operation of precision measuring instruments, including Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), to validate component dimensions.
