The role involves ensuring alignment with company policies to produce high-quality and safe products by prioritizing QC inspector work safety and adherence to BRCHS, SMETA 4 pillars, FDA standards, HACCP, and GMP requirements. This includes supervising the QC team for smooth daily operations, establishing and implementing SOPs with QA Manager approval, and conducting daily meetings to coordinate inspection procedures and record fulfillment.
The candidate will report overall quality performance to the QA Manager, support the effective implementation of SOPs, and contribute to new innovation projects, including factory trials. They will also conduct data analysis on rejects and in-process parameters, ensure instrument calibration and proper stock of QC lab consumables, and issue and follow up on CAPAs.
Additional duties include supporting lab operation improvements, maintaining CPAR closure, monitoring CAPA effectiveness, participating in environmental monitoring programs, and assisting with tasks assigned by the Quality Manager
skills and experience required
A candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related discipline, with a preference for those who have at least 4 years of experience working in QA or R&D within the food manufacturing industry. This educational background and work experience ensure that the candidate possesses the necessary technical knowledge and practical skills to excel in the role.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines, showcasing their organizational and time management skills. They should be a strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, facilitating effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
Additionally, the candidate should be capable of working independently with minimal supervision and be willing to travel overseas when required. Possessing an FSSC 22000 Lead Auditor Certificate is also advantageous.
