An opportunity for a Quality Control Manager to work on a new construction project in the Northern Territory. To own, manage and drive the implementation of the Contractor Quality Control Program, ensuring the works delivered meets all quality requirements of the Contract and Specifications.
To implement the procedures as outlined in the contractor Quality Control Plan, by reviewing, approving and submitting project documentation produced by various project stakeholders.
Suitable candidates for this role will need to possess the following skills:
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- They will be required to be resilient with the ability to work alone and they will be required to be adaptable and flexible.
- Posses great team working abilities, and leadership skills.
- Applicants are required to have a quality background in construction and or civils at a Manager level.
- Experience with Protech and Hammertech.
Key accountabilities include:
- Oversee and administer Quality Control (QC) programs
- Supervise and coordinate the three stages of control for all definable work features
- Execute three phases of control tasks not assigned to QC Specialists
- Direct and manage QC Specialists and Testing Laboratories
- Compile daily Quality Control reports
- Review and approve Quality Control submittals
- Manage and update the Submittal Register and the rework log
Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary Engineering qualifications in Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Electrical (accredited by engineer's Australia)
- 9 + years experience as an engineer.
- 6+ years experience working on-site on large-scale construction projects within
Australia/New Zealand. - 3+ years of experience as a QC Manager.
- Possess familiarity with client standards and specifications.
- Hold a valid white card and possess a full driver's license.
- Pass a national police check.
