Responsibilities
Plan, manage, update, maintain and monitor all technical standards and policies of the plant as per SQF and CFIA standards of the plant to retain and continuously improve SQF, BRC and other quality certifications of the business
Lead the quality team and ensure assuming the entire audit with the auditors and increase the current points of certification for the plant
Provide daily supervision and guidance of various staff of the plant from receiving to finished product shipped
Daily keep records of various reports, forms, and relevant documentations
Ensure all legal standards relating to quality of products of the business are met
Devise procedures to inspect and report all quality issues
Monitor all operations that affect quality of products.
Assure the reliability and consistency of production
Appraise customers’ requirements and make sure they are satisfied
Report all malfunctions to production management
Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data
Communicate with external quality assurance officers during on-site audits
Perform other technical and quality management responsibilities as required
Qualifications
QA work experience in fish or food company
Experience leading SQF and/or BRC audits
Experience and certification in HACCP
Advance English and French level
Prior experience in a lobster/crab processing plant is an asset
