Our Children's Assessment and Safeguarding Service (CASS) is at the forefront of this mission, ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our community.
Job Description: As a Social Worker in our Children's Assessment and Safeguarding Service (CASS), you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality assessments and safeguarding support to children in need. We believe in delivering personalized care and maintaining a manageable caseload, which is why our Social Workers case hold 25 children or less. These cases encompass a mix of complexity, allowing you to enhance your skills and broaden your expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to understand the needs and risks of children and families
- Provide timely interventions and support plans to ensure the well-being and safety of children
- Case hold a small number of Court and Child Protection cases, advocating for the best interests of children
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other Social Workers, health professionals, and external agencies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, adhering to statutory requirements and best practice guidelines

Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant certifications and registrations
- Demonstrated experience in Children's Services, preferably within assessment and safeguarding
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex cases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and relationship-building
