Our client has a full time teaching vacancy in their infant/toddler room and are looking for experienced, or newly graduated teachers, to join their energetic team.
... The not for profit centre is located on the grounds of Auckland Hospital, with the Auckland Domain as its backyard, and has been operating for over 30 years. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach, the centre is founded on a culture of “people at the heart of things” and caters for the children of the local hospital staff.
As an infant/toddler teacher, you will work alongside seven passionate teachers to create an engaging and nurturing environment for children aged 0 - 3 years old. You will encourage an inquiry based learning style based on the children's interests and passions.
Responsibilities
- Teaching and Learning: Demonstrate an understanding of the Reggio Emilia Approach and how it relates to Te Whāriki
- Learning Environment: Create an aesthetic environment that inspires connection, curiosity and exploration
- Communication: Communicate effectively - both verbally and written - with children, colleagues, family and caregivers
- Professional Growth: Display an ongoing commitment to extending and updating professional learning opportunities
