About the Centre:
This vibrant early childhood centre offers three age-appropriate spaces, each with its own outdoor area, providing endless opportunities for tamariki to explore the natural environment. The centre places a strong emphasis on whakawhanaungatanga (relationships) by connecting with the wider community through multicultural celebrations and creating a welcoming sense of belonging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes learning through play and exploration and encompasses the key teachings of Te Whariki
- Create a safe and supportive environment that encourages children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and evaluate programs that meet the individual needs of children.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on children's progress and milestones.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education (preferred) or a recognised qualification in Primary.
- Current NZ teachers registration
- Ideally 1 year minimum experience within an early childhood education setting.
- Strong knowledge of New Zealand's early childhood education regulations and curriculum.
