About the Role:
We are looking for a qualified and registered kaiako who is:
- Skilled in building strong and inclusive relationships.
- Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and enjoys innovative thinking.
- Passionate about nature and community exploration.
- Culturally responsive, embracing Te Ao Māori and Pasifika worldviews.
- Proficient in assessment and documentation.
You’ll work collaboratively with a passionate team to deliver a high-quality, inquiry-based educational program, making a real difference in the lives of young children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and guide children’s educational journeys.
- Create engaging, stimulating learning experiences.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
- Contribute to the centre’s strategic goals.
About You:
- Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in ECE teaching practice with full teacher certification (Type One or Two).
- Experience: Ideally, at least two years in a New Zealand-based ECE service.
- Cultural Competency: Proficient in Te Whāriki and committed to the Treaty of Waitangi.
