the role
- Quality & Safety Champion: Participate in continuous improvement projects, supplier audits, and food safety awareness initiatives.
- Reporting & Analysis Expert: Prepare, analyze, and present findings related to quality and safety to management.
- Standards Implementer: Assist in establishing, implementing, and maintaining various management systems (ISO, FSSC, SEDEX, etc.) for quality, food safety, environment, and occupational health & safety.
- Kosher & Halal Specialist: Assist with activities and certification renewals for Kosher and Halal compliance.
- Team Player: Collaborate with colleagues to implement and maintain ethical sourcing (SEDEX) and sustainable palm oil (RSPO/MSPO) practices.
the experience
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Food Science/Technology (or related field) with at least 5 years of experience in QA & food safety management within the food industry (or similar).
- Deep understanding of quality & safety standards (Halal, Kosher, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SEDEX, RSPO, MSPO).
- Prior experience in conducting internal audits and a strong ability to analyze root causes and solve problems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal in English & Malay) with the ability to conduct presentations and training sessions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
