Responsibilities
What will you do?
As a QA Manual Testing Engineer with our Downtown Vancouver client, you will:
•Translate requirements to functional and technical requirements.
•Define minimum feature set, acceptance criteria, user acceptance tests.
•Contribute to planning and implementation for new applications and systems.
•Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements for underperforming areas.
•Apply in depth knowledge of applications in troubleshooting or problem-solving across teams.
•Document Manual TestCases, Regression and Smoke testsuite to identified problems.
•Improve the quality of product and QA best practices.
•Assist in testing and participate in test phases prior to UAT.
•Update technical specs based on testing, prioritized defects or post-release lessons learned.
•Support communication for application/system deployment.
•Reproduce production issues into Stage and QA environment for debugging.
•Manage/report on QA risks and mitigation and QA timelines.
•Develop relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for QA timelines.
Qualifications
How do you qualify?
To qualify for the QA Manual Testing Engineer role with our Downtown Vancouver client, you must have:
•Bachelor’s degree or Certification in Networking and Computer Systems or Equivalent experience.
•5+ years’ QA experience.
•3-5 years’ manual testing experience.
•1-2 years’ experience with automated testing tools.
•1-2 years’ retail experience.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Technical Documentation skills.
•Familiarity with IT SDLC processes, Agile, Scrum, Kanban.
•Compliance requirements: PII, PCI & SOX.
What additional experience do you bring?
To be considered for the QA Manual Testing Engineer role with our Downtown Vancouver client, it’s an asset to have:
•Automation experience in Oracle Xstore 17 or desktop devices.
•System Performance Testing Experience for Oracle Xstore 17.
•Prior testing experience in Oracle Xstore 17 or similar Point of Sale registers/ devices.
