about the company
Your future employer is a construction company specializing in water reticulation/provision of water supply, and is currently hiring for a Project Manager for their project team. They are now looking to grow extensively and finding the right talent within this year.
about the job
- Oversee on-site supervisors to ensure timely daily reporting of progress updates online.
- Monitor the availability of subcontractors, labor, and materials with a 10-day forecast.
- Manage daily site requirements for consumables and materials, including diesel, timber, rebar, concrete, pipes, fittings, and sand for pipework.
- Ensure material requisitions (MR) are completed at least 10 days in advance.
- Collaborate with project consultants and client representatives for effective work coordination and execution.
- Prepare for and participate in weekly and bi-weekly project meetings, ensuring coordination progress meetings, progress reports, and site diaries are ready.
- Draft correspondence and letters to clients as needed.
Additional Duties:
- a) Coordinate with supervisors and assistants to ensure daily Requests for Information (RFIs) and pipeline logs are prepared and submitted to the Chief of Works (COW) and contracts team for verification.
- b) Work with the contracts department to initiate post-contract material take-offs for bulk pre-orders (e.g., rebar, concrete, pipes, fittings).
- Verify subcontractor claims and maintain daily updates on the tracking system, as required by the contracts department.

skills and experience required
- Bachelor Degree in Architecture/Engineering/Project Construction Management or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Construction Industry
- Experienced in handling infrastructure/ water works projects
- Ambitious and aggressive characters with extensive on-site experience and technical knowledge
- Project-oriented and able to handle projects independently
- Willing to travel to get involved in the entire cycle of project
