Responsible for leading a product development team in collaboration with the project engineering manager, this role will ensure the successful delivery of all project outputs within the defined quality, cost, and schedule constraints. This includes overseeing the process from product ideation through to manufacturing and shipping.

• Hourly rate of pay (competitive rate on offer dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, management, and execution of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s development life-cycle and product brief requirements.
• Estimate project resources, timelines, and costs, and ensure delivery within these constraints.
• Provide direction and leadership to project team members, offering guidance, support, and resolving roadblocks.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and risks, ensuring adherence to commitments and timelines.
• Manage and monitor supplier and subcontractor performance to ensure timely and quality deliveries in line with project needs.
• Prepare and present regular project updates, including key metrics and project reviews.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration between internal stakeholders, including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and global marketing teams.
• Mentor and coach team members, providing feedback and supporting their professional development.

Required Experience:

• Strong experience in project management, particularly in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects from conception to delivery, with a focus on quality, cost, and timelines.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage project teams effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience managing risks, resolving project challenges, and maintaining project momentum.

About You:

• To be successful in your application you will be tertiary qualified within a mechatronic, electronic, or mechanical discipline and have demonstrated experience in the delivery of complex manufacturing projects.
