As a result of continued growth within one of Adelaide’s largest property developers, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Coordinator to join my client's team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking to progress and develop their career within a dynamic and expanding company.
You will play a key role in the successful delivery of projects across a variety of sectors, including multi-level constructions, retirement unit developments, unit renovations, and property maintenance. These projects span throughout Adelaide and Melbourne, offering exposure to diverse construction environments.
As a Project Coordinator, you will support the CBD-based project team in managing and administering contracts throughout the project life cycle, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. Your efforts will help minimise financial and contractual risks, and contribute to the overall success and profitability of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the project team in the development and delivery of the procurement strategy
- Ensure contract and documentation requirements are adhered to
- Manage variations, Extensions of Time (EOT), and claims for additional payments
- Track project financial forecasts and monitor profit/loss
- Oversee contract finalisation, including defects, manuals, and variations
- Review work orders and scope of works
- Provide support to the project team and site supervisors
- Regularly review and manage materials and labour expenses
- Prepare detailed reports for the Chairman, Development Director, Project Managers, and management team
- Ensure the project team meets deadlines and delivers project milestones on time
Qualifications & Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in contract and project administration within a Construction Group or Building Contractor environment
- Demonstrated experience with project management software
- Strong financial analysis skills and a focus on administration, with excellent negotiation abilities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage time efficiently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
- A current driver’s license is required
