Maternity leave cover contract HRBP (full or part-time)As the People Business Partner - Japan, reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will collaborate with the People & Culture team to:• Provide comprehensive advice on the employee lifecycle.• Guide and support the development of a sustainable culture for accelerated growth.• Roll out global People & Culture programs in Japan.• Ensure a consistent employee experience.• Manage a small team handling P&C matters and office management.Day-to-Day Responsibilities:• Advise on change initiatives, talent management, workforce planning, and employee relations.• Resolve complex employee relations issues and conduct objective investigations.• Ensure compliance with local market practices and proactively manage new market risks.• Collaborate to review, recommend, and implement streamlined people processes.• Drive people programs, including performance management and engagement surveys.• Develop reporting and analytics for employee lifecycle insights.• Organize and implement training programs, managing logistics.• Oversee day-to-day contract and visa management, ensuring compliance.• Improve people operations efficiency through new initiatives and technology solutions.Requirements:• 5-8 years of HR management, operations, and employee relations experience.• HR business partnering experience with senior leaders in Japan and APAC.• Strong knowledge of Japan employment legislation.• Proven success in establishing HR infrastructure in a high-growth start-up.• Hands-on approach with a proactive leadership attitude.• Proficient in English (min C1 level) and Japanese (min N1 level).• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.• Flexibility and adaptability to changing organizational priorities and a fast-paced environment.
