As a Production Supervisor, you will be involved in a crucial role to leading a team of 5+ individuals to achieve daily production demands reporting back to the Production Manager. Responsible for ensuring that the production lines are running smoothly and efficiently. There will be a technical aspect to this role, as most of your time will be spent on the floor being hands-on with the production line. Identifying opportunities of improvement will be great.

Responsibilities
- Ensure employees are trained and equipped for their duties.
- Understands the team dynamics and can assign tasks based on employees' skills and capabilities to be in successful positions.
- Communicate operational changes such as preparing shift schedules and allocation of resources.
- Monitor work to ensure that the health & safety is a priority in the work place along with reporting any work place issues.
- Efficiency of workforce management without sacrificing quality of the product.
- Being able to be innovative to Implement continuous improvement initiatives and troubleshoot production issues as needed.
Qualifications
- Requires 3+ years of film/plastic experience. Working with extrusions would be a great asset.
- Experience management a small or large team. Team leads and supervisors would be considered.
- Flexibility to work 8 hour shifts. Monday to Friday. Shift time could vary.
- Can work in a high-temperature work environment that does require some physical lifting.
- Understands the importance of H&S and communicate that effectively to the team. Making sure that this is a top priority.
- Mechanical engineering or technical aptitude will be considered an asset.
