I am looking for a dedicated Production Supervisor for my client, a diversified pharmaceutical company committed to delivering better health. This full-time, permanent role will be based at their plant in Steinbach, MB.
My client develops, manufactures, and markets a range of products in international pharmaceuticals and is looking for a full time production supervisor to join their team.
The Production Supervisor will oversee the pharma/packaging production line, ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement in a highly automated environment. This role requires strong people management skills and a solid understanding of mechanical processes.

Straight day shift: Mon - Fri: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Responsibilities
What you'll be doing:
-Supervise and coordinate the production line, managing a team of 22 employees. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure production targets are met.
-Implement and promote lean manufacturing principles and Kaizen practices to enhance production efficiency. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs.
-Collaborate with the maintenance team to understand and optimize the entire production process. Offer technical advice and guidance for troubleshooting processes and equipment.
-Participate in hiring, firing, assessments, reviews, training, and development of the team in partnership with HR. Lead, develop, and coach the team to achieve high performance levels, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
-Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and create development plans to support employee growth.
-Provide job-specific training, ensuring compliance with GMP and Safety regulations.
-Assist in the development and planning of processes and schedules. Support the company in continuous improvement growth.
Qualifications
What you bring: Ability to work full-time in a Steinbach, MB. plant
5+ years experience in manufacturing and production management (preferably in food or Pharma industries)
Post-secondary degree in a relevant field.
Proven experience in production and mechanical understanding, preferably in the food or pharmaceutical industry.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Kaizen principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with CMMS: SAP, and ADP for payroll preferred
Green Belt Six Sigma certification preferred (will provide training if needed).
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
