The Product & Merchandise Planning Director will be responsible for the formulation and execution of the brand's merchandise planning strategy, ensuring that the product mix meets market demand and achieves sales targets. This role will work closely with design, procurement, and sales teams to drive the brand's successful performance in a rapidly growing market.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize the brand's merchandise planning strategy, including product development direction, style selection, and category planning.
- Collaborate closely with design and procurement teams to ensure the product line aligns with brand positioning and market trends.
- Formulate sales forecasts, inventory plans, and replenishment strategies based on data analysis, ensuring supply and demand balance and reducing inventory pressure.
- Analyze historical sales data and market trends to optimize SKU performance and propose corresponding adjustments.
- Manage the product life cycle to improve the speed of product launches, sales cycles, and inventory turnover rates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Over 5 years of experience in merchandise planning, with a preference for the fashion accessory or fashion retail industry.
- In-depth understanding of merchandise planning needs under the DTC model.
- Data-sensitive, proficient in inventory management and sales forecasting tools, capable of making quick and accurate decisions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively interface with multiple departments and advance project progress.
- Good English communication skills to facilitate cross-cultural exchanges.
- Preference for candidates with living or working experience in Europe or America, with a deep understanding of the cultural differences and consumer needs in the European and American markets.
