• Defines and executes the product line (category) strategy for product ideation, liase with
engineering/development team and launch new products focused on value-add in terms of
revenue, pricing, customer base and service levels.
• Classification of products into product clusters and maintain all financial metrices in internal
tools/systems for better product/sales decisions.
• Studies the market, prepare business case for each NEW product and support development team
to develop plans for localization of products within the category.
• Product Marketing activities in close co-ordination with Sales and Marketing
• Performs regular geographic zone market analysis to identify market trends and customer
behavior change that could affect the pricing and revenue.
• Conducts regular needs analysis of customers, segments these needs to achieve best
operational efficiency and service levels to the customers.
• Performs regular geographic zone market analysis to identify market trends and customer
behavior change that could affect the pricing and revenue.
• Directly manages the category pricing based on market inputs and keeps list price updated based
on LME and market considerations.
• Supports the sales teams in providing critical technical and market inputs towards revenue
generation and product group profitability.
• Conducts technical seminars and business updates with customers in coordination with sales
teams to promote products.
• Tracks the performance of the product clusters across regions and customers and recommends
corrective strategies for higher sales revenue and profitability.
• Updates and shares on regular basis, critical customer information on the progress of the category
strategy, evolution of the market base and internal and external best practices2ACCOUNTABILITIES & PERFORMANCE MEASURES
• Achieves assigned organizational objectives for category growth, pricing, and product mix.
• Supports sales teams in sales closures through technical support and seminars to customers.
• Drives localization efforts for the category for better topline growth and profitability
ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT
• Reports to the Head Product Management & Product Marketing
• Cross functional collaboration with operations, finance, technology, and other functional teams
QUALIFICATIONS
• Engineering or Science Graduate
• MBA graduate would be an advantage.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
• Overall, 7-12 years with min. 3 years of strong experience in Product Life Cycle Management with
reputable companies
• Candidates from any industry are welcome to apply. Product Managers from Drives Industry or
Distributor companies for Electrical products would be preferable.
• Quick learner: Willingness to learncables portfolio and apply product management

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
