About the Role:
... - Responsible for overall procurement of relevant solar or electrical materials, subcontracting works.
- Source of reliable suppliers & contractors and to ensure project cost within budget and/or to maximise project savings and/or profits.
- Verify and approve purchase requisitions by reviewing cost comparison report, clarifying unclear items, recommend alternatives or substitutes, propose value engineering, etc.
- Verify and approve on materials requisitions, site measurements of work done, progress claims and invoices.
- Working hand in hand with other departments within the company to ensure a smooth and efficient procurement process and on time project delivery.
- Follow up and look into overall procurement and purchasing administrative matters and any other ad-hoc tasks.
- Plan and forecast company monthly cash flow and expenses.
- Follow up and look into overall administrative matters of various contracts and subcontract works including recommendation of payments, variation order certificates, etc.
About the Team:
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Procurement Manager.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, with exposure to solar or renewable energy projects is compulsory.
- Solid understanding of electrical components and solar technologies.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Passion for renewable energy and sustainability initiatives.
