Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals within the prison setting, developing tailored support plans to promote rehabilitation and reintegration.
- Offer direct support to individuals, helping them navigate the complexities of the criminal justice system and addressing their individual challenges.
- Prepare reports for the courts and Parole Board, providing expert analysis of individual's backgrounds and progress towards rehabilitation.
- Work closely with other professionals in the criminal justice system, such as probation officers, police officers, and court staff, to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting individuals.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Social Work
- Registration with SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council)
- Car Driver
- LSCMI trained
- Experience with the following tools is highly valued: SA07, LSCMI, RM2K
- Experience with the following approaches is beneficial: TARL, PBSW, HBR
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system and relevant legislation is essential.
