Randstad is actively looking for an experienced individual to join a welcoming Primary School team in Hitchin. Someone who is firm but fair and has a nurturing approach to working with pupils. You must be adaptable and flexible to using a range of strategies to positively impact the pupil's behaviour for learning. You should have prior experience of working in a school environment.

Your responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant will include:
- Managing behaviour and supporting the class teacher
- Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience of all the children
- Be responsible for making sure each lesson has the correct preparation and materials
- Understand the pupils needs individually, including those with educational special needs
- Working with small groups and 1:1
- Have a flexible approach and ability to adapt resources on the spot
These are some of the requirements that we need from you:
- An Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get a new one
- Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role)
- Able to make an impression on both us and our client
- Previous experience in Schools preferred
- 2 recent professional references (this is essential)
- Flexibly adhere to the needs of the children in a professional and friendly manner
- Good classroom management skills
