With a strong pipeline of work in Birmingham and the surrounding areas, they are seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to join their team and oversee projects ranging from £10m to £100m in value.
The Role
As the Preconstruction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the early stages of major building projects. Reporting to the Regional Preconstruction Director, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading preconstruction activities across multiple projects, including design management, bid preparation, and tendering.
- Managing project programmes, budgets, and procurement strategies to ensure project viability and profitability.
- Collaborating with internal teams, consultants, and key stakeholders to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions.
- Driving value engineering and risk management initiatives during the preconstruction phase.
- Ensuring compliance with client requirements, regulatory standards, and the contractor's policies.

About You
We are seeking a driven individual with a proven track record in preconstruction and a deep understanding of the construction process. To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Significant experience in a preconstruction, bid management, or design management role, ideally with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor.
- A strong background in managing building projects valued between £10m and £100m.
- Excellent commercial awareness and technical knowledge.
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and teams.
- A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
