Reports To: Production Manager / Operations Manager
Position Summary:
The PPC Engineer will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating production processes to ensure optimal efficiency and resource utilization. This role involves close collaboration with production, quality, procurement, and logistics teams to meet production targets, minimize costs, and ensure timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to meet customer requirements and production targets.
- Allocate resources, including workforce, equipment, and materials, for efficient production flow.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to schedules and make adjustments as needed.
Inventory & Material Management
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure adequate material availability based on production schedules.
- Track and manage inventory levels to optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to increase efficiency.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and other process improvement techniques to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with various departments (production, quality control, procurement, and logistics) to ensure smooth operations and timely problem resolution.
- Update stakeholders on production status, any delays, and corrective measures.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and maintain production reports, including daily, weekly, and monthly production data.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of production activities, inventory changes, and material usage.
Quality & Compliance
- Monitor quality standards throughout the production process to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Work with the quality control team to address any issues and minimize production defects.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering preferred).
- Experience: 3 to 8 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or related roles in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in production planning tools/software and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret production data.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and coordination abilities, problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
