about the role
there are two key roles within the Embedded Software Team. One involves developing image processing algorithms at the low-level driver level, providing an opportunity to work with Sony's cutting-edge video imaging technology, renowned for its Bravia picture quality. The other role focuses on audio processing, where the developer will design algorithms for audio processing on low-level drivers and digital signal processors, collaborating closely with Sony's audio engineers from both Japan and Malaysia.

about the job
- create and implement image processing algorithms tailored for embedded platforms.
- develop digital signal processing (DSP)-based audio algorithms for embedded systems.
- handle the entire software lifecycle, including development, testing, debugging, and deployment.
knowledge, skills and experience
- bachelor’s Degree in E&E/ Mechatronic/Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- a minimum of 2 years of experience in embedded software development.
- basic knowledge of image processing and digital signal processing (DSP) is expected.
- proficiency in Embedded Software Development using C, particularly in Linux user space, kernel, and interrupt handling, is essential.
- must be experienced with Linux, including expertise in 64/32-bit ARM microprocessor architecture.
- familiarity with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and related development is an added benefit.
- experience in product specifications, systems analysis, microprocessor-based systems, and firmware design is advantageous.
- knowledge of DSP IIR Filter system design and development is considered an additional advantage.
- Minimum CGPA of 3.3 and above
