Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day HR functions
- Full-cycle recruitment, Payroll and Benefits, and managing the onboarding process including orientations
- Working closely with the Executive Team to identify gaps and opportunities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and processes
- Manage employee records, inquiries and employee relations issues
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous HR experience - minimum of 5 years and ideally experience in a unionized work environment
- Bachelor's degree in HR or Business Administration
- Ability to build relationships and provide outstanding customer service
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, labour laws, and compliance
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities
- Outstanding people skills, sense of urgency, and ability to take initiative
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ADP
