The Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Girls' PE to join a talented team. The successful candidate will inspire and motivate students to develop a love for physical activity and sport. You will deliver a broad and balanced PE curriculum, ensuring all students have the opportunity to achieve their full potential. Your role will also involve contributing to their extensive extracurricular sports program, including coaching teams and organising events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated PE lessons for girls across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and well-being.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
- Contribute to the development of the PE curriculum and departmental resources.
- Lead and support extracurricular sports activities, including after-school clubs and inter-school competitions.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and discipline in line with school policies.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in Physical Education.
- Experience teaching PE at secondary school level.
- A passion for promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles among young people.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable Qualities:
- Experience coaching school sports teams.
- Knowledge of current developments in PE and school sports.
- Ability to teach additional subjects or contribute to other areas of school life.
