This role offers flexibility with 1 to 2 days of work from home each week, and their office conveniently located in Adelaide CBD. The organization also has offices throughout Adelaide hence you also have the opportunity to work at various locations that are convenient to home.
about the job
This role is only responsible for front-end payroll as the actual payroll is being processed by the appointed vendor. Key duties include:-
... - Software & Systems: Timesheet data entry in the system, with accurate interpretation of digital timesheets
- Payroll Management: Relevant payroll related activities for fortnightly and monthly paid employees. Review and distribute all fortnightly payslips to employees on time.
- Calculations: Verify and input payroll data incorporating the calculation of overtime, penalties, leave entitlements, allowances and deductions.
- Reconciliation: Identify and correct errors before final processing.
- Leave Management: Process all leave applications and prepare associated reporting.
- Compliance: Understand and apply EBA provisions, awards, legislation, contract terms and tax regulations.
about the manager / team
This role reports into the People and Culture Manager, who is based in Adelaide. The position is a newly-created permanent headcount as a result of a promotion with their existing payroll employee. There would be on the job training and handover with the current incumbent.
skills & requirements for the role
To succeed in this role, you must come equipped with a minimum 5 years of payroll experience. Advanced Excel skills are a must, and expertise with time and attendance systems is critical as well. This role would be well-suited for somebody with a “can-do” attitude and genuinely wants to make a difference in improving processes and systems. You should be well-organized, meticulous, and good in problem solving.
