Responsibilities
● Primary tasks include all support and maintenance activities to ensure continued stabilization of
the Django Online Grants and Subsidy services. Current government developers will assist with
the onboarding process.
● Scoping work and outlining requirements for any system changes. This may encompass coding;
database, and form changes.
● Providing estimates of effort for requested changes.
● Working with government resources who support the servers, network, and all other areas of
the solution.
● Working closely with the business users on the requirements, requested changes and all facets
of support.
● Processing tickets for error resolution, maintenance and enhancements as needed.
● Helping the business to understand the impact of changes, enhancements etc.
● Helping the business to prioritize tickets and providing technical input to help facilitate decision
making.
● Any other support functions of an online solution not previously listed here such as analysis, unit
testing, implementation of changes etc.
Qualifications
● Resource must have at least 2-3 years (recent) of Django Python/Python experience.
● Resource must have both programming and analyst skills.
● Experience working with user interface and development standards found in web browser
applications.
● A developer who enjoys learning and researching on their own.
● Someone who can troubleshoot and is an analytical thinker.
● Exposure to structured project team environments with formal processes for deliverable
approvals, change requests and configuration management.
● Someone who accepts and shares knowledge and feedback openly, willingly, and constructively.
● Must be a good communicator and able to work with a variety of people and government
bodies.
● Provide documentation and transition knowledge of this solution to other government
developers.
Other skills considered to be an asset include:
● OpenShift
● MySQL
