Responsibilities
- Provide support in day-to-day pricing analyses and approvals for resales, maintenance and cabling opportunities
- Work with cross-functional teams on customer Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Quote (RFQ), and other pricing requests
- Conduct financial analysis and modeling on large business opportunities
- Provide pricing strategies and leadership for complex opportunities improve win rates while maximizing profitability and aligning to corporate profitability focus
- Work with other Lines of Business within company to consolidate financial analyses for complex solutions
- Prepare strong and well-supported business case to executives for pricing approval
- Participate in funnel discussion with sales and finance to gain early visibility of pricing requests
- Attend cadence meetings with sales solution specialists and client executives to understand account challenge and market dynamics
- Track and document win oss and competitive information for key opportunities
- Gather market and competition intelligence through different channels
- Initiate post-mortem reviews with sales for key losses to gain lesson-learns, and share with the extended pricing team and product managers
- Understand various partner incentive programs and discount structures to support pricing activities
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in a pricing role in the telecommunication industry, or 5 years in a similar role in other industries.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to synthesize large amounts of knowledge and data
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, ability to influence management strategic thinking, and creative problem solving skills
- Good understanding of financial modeling: cash flow, competitive analysis, sensitivity analysis
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to a face-paced working environment, and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Superb MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of vendor programs and order operation is a plus.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
- Education – Preferred B.Com.from an accredited university
