Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of client's physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to develop personalised intervention plans.
- Intervention and Rehabilitation: Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to enhance client's functional abilities and promote independence in daily activities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, physiotherapists, and social workers, to coordinate holistic care plans for clients.
- Client Education: Provide education to clients and their families on adaptive strategies, equipment, and community resources to support ongoing independence.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, treatment plans, and client progress, ensuring compliance with professional and organisational standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC Registration
- Previous experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a health care or rehabilitation setting.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Empathy and a client-centred approach to care.
- Knowledge of current occupational therapy practices and techniques.
