Join our dedicated team located in Batley, where we are seeking an enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to support the education and well-being of our young learners. This is a full-time position starting in September 2024 and continuing until July 2025.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Learning Support:Work closely with the nursery team to provide individualized support and guidance to children aged 3 to 5, helping them to develop key skills and reach their full potential.
- Assessment and Progress Tracking: Assist in monitoring and assessing children's progress, maintaining accurate records, and providing feedback to teachers and parents on their achievements and areas for development.
- Resource Preparation: Prepare and organize learning materials, resources, and activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring a stimulating and engaging environment for learning through play.
- Behaviour Management: Support positive behavior management strategies, fostering a calm and respectful atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to express themselves.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to promote the holistic development of children and ensure a cohesive and inclusive approach to learning and support.
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) is essential.
- Previous experience working with children, preferably within an early years or educational setting.
- Passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in childcare or early years education is desirable but not essential.
