Social Worker - Children with Front Door Team

Responsibilities
Conduct initial assessments of children and families to identify their needs and determine appropriate interventions
Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners, including health, education, and police services, to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding children
Provide immediate and short-term interventions to protect children and promote their welfare
Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, families, and carers, ensuring their voices are heard and respected
Prepare and present reports for child protection conferences, reviews, and court proceedings
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory and departmental requirements
Participate in regular supervision and continuous professional development opportunities
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Social Work (or equivalent) and registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in children's social care, preferably within a front door or assessment team.
- Strong knowledge of child protection procedures and relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children and families.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a diverse caseload.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
