Responsibilities
• Analyzing RF coverage to identify network problem areas and evaluate/implement solutions to improve customer experience, network quality and performance
• Designing new sites using simulated coverage analysis based on RF propagation software (Atoll)
• Evaluating and select new site candidates
• Designing antenna configuration for new sites & site upgrades (antenna selection, elevation, orientation, tilt, and SC6 compliance)
• Configuring datafill & integrating new sites into the existing network
• Assessing impact using network KPIs, customer experience metrics and other key indicators to demonstrate benefit to customer
• Producing required technical documentation to demonstrate impact on customer experience from introduction of new site / site upgrade
• Creating Installation Work Orders to enable implementation of site solution
• Analyzing existing network performance and initiate improvements where required
• Identifying automation opportunities and liaison with right team members to deliver automation capability in order to improve efficiency within Wireless Engineering and Operations
Qualifications
Top 3 Required Skills:
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in radio network design and optimization focused on 5G and LTE technologies
-In-depth skills using RF propagation tools (Atoll preferred)
- Deep working knowledge and experience on different RAN technologies: HSPA/UMTS, LTE, 5G NSA/SA including in-depth knowledge and hand-on skills on Network Management Systems (Nokia NetAct, Ericsson ENM, Huawei U2020)
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Communications, Electrical, Computer, Information Technology or Network related dicsipline
Required Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of E2E wireless network architecture
- In-depth knowledge and hand-on skills using Actix Analyzer and DriveTest Analysis Tools
- Business acumen to assess value and impact from the work
Other Skills:
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Attitude focused on team success and improving customer experience
- Proven ability to put words into actions and ability to deliver results
- Ability to work in a ever-changing, competitive environment where priorities shift frequently
- Certification(s) in Agile framework and/or SAFe is preferred
